I build things that have to work in a field.
Roughly half of what I make has a circuit board in it. The other half exists because I didn’t want to do something by hand twice.
The largest is SoilMetrics — a portable soil monitor with LTE, GPS and a touchscreen, sitting on its own firmware, its own backend, and three revisions of the board. Around it are the smaller pieces a device like that turns out to need: a lighter build for cheaper hardware, a middleman for the HTTP the device speaks, a dashboard for the readings once they land.
XolveTech is the company. It builds Arduino learning kits: a basic kit, an obstacle-avoiding car, a few others.
Everything else is smaller and faster. An RFID attendance rig, a USB hub, a single-cell charger, a calculator that runs on an Arduino; and on the other side a schema extractor, a clipboard sync, a git tree viewer. Seventy-odd repositories in about a year, and the useful ones are usually the ones that took an afternoon.
